ESIA and lender due diligence for a 90 MW solar facility

Financial close depended on an approved licence and a clean lender review, both inside a single quarter. We ran the statutory assessment and the IFC gap analysis as one integrated workstream to avoid duplicated fieldwork.

Twelve months of avifauna data from a comparable site was supplemented with targeted seasonal survey, which allowed the layout to be adjusted away from two flight corridors before the design was frozen.

Public participation covered four wards with recorded meetings, a grievance mechanism and a disclosure pack in both English and Kiswahili. The licence was issued in fourteen weeks and every lender condition was closed at first review.
