EnvironEngineering & Management Consult

About us

An independent practice built around evidence

We were founded in 2009 by a small group of assessors and engineers who wanted studies to be judged on their data, not their page count. That principle still shapes how we staff and run every assignment.

Our story

Sixteen years of permitting, engineering and monitoring

Environ began as a three-person assessment practice working on water and sanitation projects. Clients kept asking us to stay past the permit — to design the works, supervise construction and hold the monitoring record — and the firm grew around that demand.

Today we are 42 specialists across assessment, engineering, safety, ESG and geospatial monitoring, working for developers, industry, counties and donor-financed programmes.

We remain deliberately independent. We do not hold construction interests, and we do not accept assignments where the conclusion is decided before the fieldwork.

Values

Four commitments we hold to

Evidence before opinion

Every recommendation we make is traceable to measured data, a documented method and a named source.

Buildable mitigation

Mitigation that cannot be constructed, staffed or funded is not mitigation. We cost it and sequence it.

Regulator-ready work

Reports are structured for the reviewer who has to defend the decision, not for the shelf.

Long-term stewardship

We stay through monitoring and closure, because that is where environmental outcomes are actually decided.

Our approach

Define, measure, design, sustain

A sequence we apply whether the assignment is a two-week audit or a three-year supervision contract.

  1. 01

    Define

We agree the regulatory pathway, decision points and evidence needed before any fieldwork is mobilised.

  2. 02

    Measure

Baseline survey and monitoring against seasonal windows, using accredited laboratories and documented methods.

  3. 03

    Design

Mitigation, engineering and management plans developed with cost, buildability and operations in mind.

  4. 04

    Sustain

Supervision, monitoring and reporting through construction, operation and closure.
